Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yıldıray Yıldız will be giving the following plenary lecture: On Tuesday, November 18th, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yıldıray Yıldız will be giving a plenary lecture at IFAC HMS 2025 in Beijing, China, titled “Keeping Humans Relevant and Safe: Designing AI for Collaboration, Not Replacement.”

He will discuss Cyber-Physical-Human Systems that keep humans at the center, using mathematical models of human movement, attention, memory, and adaptation. These systems enable collaboration between humans and automation, resulting in high-performing and safe designs. The core theme is this: instead of asking how we can replace humans, we should ask how AI can help humans do what they do better, while protecting their agency and well-being.
