This collaborative research program with the University of Rome “La Sapienza” examines the irreversibility of vibratory energy flow in a complex mechanical system.
Specifically, this research investigates conditions that can enhance apparent damping of a structure by coupling it with a complex resonator that does not exhibit classical dissipation properties.
