Yıldıray Yıldız Appointed to EUCA General Assembly
Associate Professor Yıldıray Yıldız from the Department of Mechanical Engineering has accepted an invitation from the European Control Association (EUCA) to serve as Türkiye’s representative on its General Assembly, starting January 1, 2026.

Abstract: Associate Professor Yıldıray Yıldız from the Department of Mechanical Engineering has accepted an invitation from the European Control Association (EUCA) to serve as Türkiye’s representative on its General Assembly, starting January 1, 2026. EUCA promotes systems and control engineering across Europe and serves as the organizing body of the annual European Control Conference (ECC). As a member of the General Assembly, Dr. Yıldız will contribute to evaluating proposals for future ECC venues, assist in program development, and support educational and outreach initiatives. The next General Assembly meeting is scheduled to take place on July 7, 2026, in Reykjavik, as part of ECC 2026. The term of service is six years, divided into three two-year terms. This appointment will enable Dr. Yıldız to highlight Bilkent University’s research excellence on an international platform and foster new opportunities for collaboration, student exchange, and workshops in the field of control engineering.
