Success of Our Department’s Students in the Defense Industry-Focused Idea4Defence Competition
Our department’s Mechanical Engineering students, sophomore Vedat Rohan Talaþ and junior Yaman Ali Arý,
have achieved a significant accomplishment in the Idea4Defence Competition, participating as part of a team
composed of students from various departments within the Faculty of Engineering at Bilkent University.
The team also included Seçkin Kýzýlkaya from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
(Preparatory Program) and Burkay Tunçtürk, a junior student in the Department of Computer Engineering.
As a result of the competition, the team was awarded a 50,000 TL monetary prize and received pre-acceptance
to the TUSAÞ Hangar BÝGG Program.
This achievement in a prestigious competition in the fields of defense industry and high technology
demonstrates our students’ technical expertise, engineering design capabilities, and interdisciplinary
collaboration skills.
