ÖZET

Sıvı-katı etkileşimi (FSI) doğayı yönetir. Yumuşak doku modellemeden yağlama teknolojisine, biyomekanik ve mühendislikteki FSI problemleri hesaplamalı bilimde büyük bir zorluktur. Bu zorluk, malzemelerin ve arayüzlerin çok ölçekli yapısı ve ayrıca büyük bir deformasyon altında bir mikro-yapının deneyimlediği sonlu konfigürasyon değişikliği (FCC) ile daha da yoğunlaşmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, çok ölçekli FSI'nin heterojen materyallerde ve tüm ölçeklerde FCC ile olan arabirimlerdeki tüm ölçeklerde modellenmesi ve analizi ve çekirdek ölçek geçiş tekniği olarak homojenizasyon için yeni hesaplama stratejilerini araştırmaktır. Bu araştırmayı motive edecek ve yönlendirecek örnekler, yeni hesaplama çerçevesinin potansiyel biyolojik ve endüstriyel uygulamalarıdır:

(1) mekanik destek sağlamak için gözenek seviyesi sıvıları ile birlikte çalışan eklem kıkırdağı gibi yumuşak gözenekli malzemeler

(2) Dönen makinalar için geliştirilmiş tribolojik performans sağlayan yataklarda ve polimerik contalarda dokulu arayüzler.
