ÖZET

Bu projenin amacı, heterojen temas arayüzlerinin çok ölçekli modellemesini ve analizini mümkün kılan hesaplamalı temas homojenizasyon tekniklerinin geliştirilmesi ve daha sonra mevcut deneysel gözlemler ışığında onaylanmasıdır. Bu tekniklerin gerekli olduğu teknolojik açıdan önemli mühendislik problemlerindeki uygulamalara yönelik olarak, bu öneri iki ana araştırma temasına odaklanacaktır:

(1) metalik temas arayüzlerinde termal dağılım

(2) elastomerik temas arayüzlerinin bağlı termomekaniği.

Her bir araştırma temasının hedeflerinin diğerlerinin hedeflerini desteklediği genel bir araştırma çerçevesinde, süreklilik mekaniği, sonlu elemanlar ve temas mekaniğinden gelen teorik / sayısal araçlar etkileşimli bir şekilde kullanılacaktır. Çalışmanın odağı prensipler üzerinde olacak olsa da, mikroelektronik, lastik tasarımı ve metal şekillendirme gibi teknolojik ilgi alanlarına uygulama örnekleri ele alınacaktır. Bu projede geliştirilecek olan teorik ve sayısal metodolojiler, çok ölçekli analiz yaklaşımlarını takip etmek için gerekli olan yeni termomekanik kontak homojenizasyon tekniklerinin oluşturulması çabalarına yardımcı olacaktır. Bu tür yaklaşımlar, yeni makroskopik modellerin yapımında ya da var olanların geliştirilmesinde yardımcı olarak, deney tabanlı mühendislikten simülasyon temelli mühendisliğe vurgu yapılmasına izin verecektir. Sonuç olarak, planlanan araştırma gündemi ayrıca mühendislik tasarımı görevleriyle ilişkili ekonomik ve zaman maliyetlerinin azaltılmasına katkıda bulunacaktır.
